The study day will be held online on Zoom and in person at the Vere Gordon Childe Centre (VGCC) (previously CCANESA) (Level 4 Madsen Building F09 University of Sydney).

Scholars from around the world recently converged on Lyon, France for the 14th International Congress on the Archaeology of the Ancient Near East (ICAANE) to hear about archaeological research and discoveries from the Near East. Several NEAF board members and scholars from the University of Sydney presented on their work at the conference, and now we are bringing this to you!

This jam-packed study day will explore recent research and discoveries in Arabia and the Levant from the Neolithic to the Iron Age. We will hear from speakers on monumental funerary landscapes in northwest Saudi Arabia to new dates for the Early Bronze Age IV in the southern Levant to scientific analyses of ceramic chalices from the Iron Age.
